Maple is naturally one of the lightest colored woods available and it is also a very hard. Due to its innate durability, Maple is a popular choice for kitchens and other high traffic areas where it is commonly used in table tops, cabinets, and butcher block boards.
Poplar is an extremely versatile, dependable, and common hardwood that has many uses for fine finishings in homes. Not only is Poplar wood very stable, it also sands, stains, and paints very well because of its fine pores. This wood can be tailored from a smooth fine finish to a heavily rustic look and it makes for beautiful solid wood shelves.
We specially kiln dry Southern Yellow Pine to furniture grade levels for all of these collections. Southern Yellow Pine is a sustainable, cost effective wood, and is easily stained to many colors. This wood can be tailored to a lightly rustic, or heavily rustic look and it makes for a beautiful mid-grade solid wood shelf.
